Corrado Simeoni

Painter and graphic artist. Born in Dolo (Venice), Italy, 1938. Passed away in The Hague, 2019.
Was active in Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany.

Having received his degree in Topography and Civil Engineering in Bolzano, Italy, 1957,
Simeoni earned his living for the following fourteen years working at major construction projects in West Africa and Europe, mainly new roads, refineries and oil pipelines.

In 1972 - at the age of 33 - he realized that his decision to be a full-time artist was long overdue;
he quit therefore his job and set up studio in Brussels (1972-1979).

Brief, frequent stays in Italy and a rather extended one in Westphalia (Germany) characterized his artistic activity of the last fifty years (nearly), with important shows in prestigious Galleries, Musea and Art Fairs in Italy (Milan, Turin, Bolzano, Novara, Bergamo, Vicenza, Pordenone), Belgium (Bruxelles), The Netherlands (Amsterdam, The Hague, Lelystad, Rotterdam) and Germany (Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munster, Duisburg, Dortmund, Cologne, Gescher, Moers, Rheinberg, Kevelaer) etc.

During his artist activity his spouse was Emmy Simeoni-Krajenbrink.

From 1979 till 2019 he was a resident of The Hague, in The Netherlands.
